Kenny Chesney Denies Being a Fruitcake

Ever since Kenny Chesney and Renee Zellweger ended their short-marriage, gay rumors sprung up left and right. The reason for their split was described on documents as “fraud.” Many, including me, felt this meant he was a straight-up friend of Dorothy and I don’t mean Dorothy from “Jerry Maguire.” Kenny tells Mike Wallace in a “60 Minutes” interview to air Sunday that he isn’t gay. `No, I’m not (gay),’ but I didn’t want to draw any more attention to it. I didn’t have to prove to anybody that I wasn’t (gay). I didn’t feel like I really did. We thought the least harmful (stated reason) was fraud because it (is) kind of broad … doesn’t specify and boy … we were wrong. The only fraud that was committed was me thinking that I knew what it was like … that I really understood what it was like to be married, and I really didn’t.” I sort of believe Kenny. I mean unless we’re back in 1993, no self-respecting gay would wear sleeveless t-shirts as often as him. Source
